Check out my article here for Metabolic Alchemy, about the huge daily supplement stack from a guy with a 192 IQ.
If this is something you decide to experiment with, a great tool I've found for beginners diving into the world of neurochemistry enhancement, is something called the Braverman Edge Effect Test. You can take the test free online here, however I would recommend either reading the book or getting with somebody who can tell you what to do with the results.
I know the super neurochem-nerds consider The Edge Effect a bit reductionist, but in practice, I've seen many people significantly improve cognitive function by targeting the deficencies outlined by the results. Myself included. Even learning the basic differences between dopamine, acetylcholine, GABA and serotonin can really get you started in the right direction for some self-experimentation.
When I demonstrated a high rating for dopamine deficiency, I decided to start taking Deprenyl (a prescription selective MAO-b inhibitor). Within a few days it was like a dense fog had been lifted in my brain and I started seeing things differently and blasting through to-do lists that had been piling up for months. This was many years ago, and I still use it intermittently today, along with several other things (as I said in the article on Metabolic Alchemy, neurochemistry is dynamic, so don't expect to find one thing that works forever, and don't expect what works for somebody else to work the same way for you).
For some further learning, you can find plenty of good discussions at the Longecity Forums here.
As for some of the things I do like from Rosner's stack, these would be helpful for just about anybody:
Curcumin
CoQ10
ALA & Acetyl-l-carnitine
Vitamin D3
Omega-3's
Benfotiamine
N-Acetyl-cysteine
Vitamin K2
Piracetam
Vinpocetine
However, you can knock out several of those by taking a blend of Fermented Cod Liver Oil/High Vitamin Butter Oil which includes an ideal dose of EPA & DHA (omega 3's), CoQ10, Vitamin K2, Vitamin D3, Vitamin A, as well as arachadonic acid. Its not cheap, but its actually cheaper than taking all those things seperately.
